After completing high school, Jacob joined the United States Navy to become a US Navy SEAL and was assigned to a SEAL Team at 20 years old. Aeros Corporation is a defense contractor and airship manufacturer engaged in various military, DARPA, and NASA contracts. While the project was shuttered in 2014, Matt was responsible for over one billion dollars of forward purchase commitments from Fortune 500 companies. Aeros continues to expand its operations in the company’s native Los Angeles, California. Matt continues his support of US military excellence as a member of Business Executives for National Security, BENS. In 2015, Matt stepped back into his role as Managing Partner of Susquehanna Holdings Company. In his role as partner in Susquehanna, Matt has focused on capital formation and property acquisition, helping grow the portfolio to more than 3,000,000 square feet of Class A office and industrial buildings concentrated in Sunbelt US markets. Philanthropy has always been an important part of Matt’s life. While at UF, Matt founded the student chapter of China Cares, an outreach to provide health and education to orphans in China. He also served on the Family Advisory Board to Nemours Children’s Hospital in Orlando, where he worked with the development team and hospital administration advising on many aspects of hospital development. While living in Los Angeles, Matt was actively involved in Oasis Church and served on the board of non-profit Generosity.org, a global water drilling initiative serving impoverished global communities. Today, Matt serves on the board of Sharing Smiles, a part of AdventHealth Hospital Foundation, and acts as Founder / President of Love & Life Foundation, a 501c3 disaster relief organization he founded in response to the Hurricane Dorian disaster that ravished the Bahamas in September 2018. Through their Foundation, Matt and his wife Paige continue to support Bahamas restoration and rebuild initiatives, while also supporting local community outreach programs such as Farmers to Families. In 2020, they were responsible for distributing over 1,000,000 pounds of fresh food to families in need throughout Central Florida during the Covid Pandemic.
